"Hi, my name is Linda Silver. As a child, I remember my mother using our newspaper to draw her designs, then cutting the finished design, and pinning the paper to fabric. I made clothing for all of my dolls, and made my own clothing. Throughout school, I enrolled in every sewing and tailoring class that was offered, majoring in home economics. When my children were young, I wanted to start a business, doing something that I enjoyed and to remain a stay-at-home mom. Knowing I loved sewing, I took a leap of faith and started a business which is now Toots E Lu Designs, becoming a fully-fledged “sew-aholic”. The invaluable experiences that I have gained with fabrics and a sense of creativity has led me into the fashions that I display today. My handbags are designed with functionality in mind. I take pride in the quality of my handbags, and I believe that a handbag reflects your personality and should be carried with confidence. I design each of my purses with high-quality fabrics and beautiful colors. All handbags have top zippers, closures, pockets inside and out, and rivets where needed. All handles have metal hardwire, which allows the purse to be lengthened or shortened to your needs. They fit the body well. Finally, we must remember that a purse should be fun, as it is always nice for someone to ask you: “Where did you find that purse?””. - Linda Silver
"Hello! I'm Dillon Kupferschmid, and I'm the developer of this website! I have developed this website as a proof of concept for my step-grandmother, Linda. When it came to developing the website, I tried to go for more of a look that resembles her business cards, which are primarily purple with silver-colored dots on it, hence why I tried to make it appear equal to her business cards. Every page has been constructed to be somewhat similar, but with some minor differences to each to increase the users' browsing experience. This page simply contains biographies about me and Linda for the sake of being able to know us better, and Linda's was her story transcripted into what I have listed above. As for me, I am 20 years old currently, and I am a student at Illinois Central College working on getting my Associates Degree in Web Design, and in order to get it, I must pass multiple CMWEB classes, or Content Management Web Classes to get it, and this page falls as one of my projects. I also work part time at a pet shelter called Pets for Seniors, and I clean for the cats there. This is my current carreer plan, but I have tried to develop these websites to be user-friendly, secure, and professional, so I hope this page is good for all to browse.
